Girl Geek Dinner’s back in 2011!

21 August 2014

After an extended winter break, GGD is returning next month with our first dinner of 2011 in the city. Danielle Posthuma, a medical gene statistician from the VU University Amsterdam and KNAW (Koninklijke Nederlandse Akademie van Wetenschappen) will be revealing her trawls through the human genome with a fistful of statistics and medical insight. For this dinner, we are relocating to a new venue in the city: Lab111 in OudWest, www.smartprojectspace.net. The site is a former anatomical pathology lab and billed as an “experimental collaboration of urban culture and social interaction” – so we’re looking forward to our first dinner here!

For 2011, we’d like to develop Amsterdam GGD as a little more than informative dinners and opportunities to meet and network with fellow geeks in the Netherlands – so by means of regular newsletters and updates we’ll be keeping you posted with a What’s On guide with links to events and opportunities we think are of interest. Sign up to our mailing list for monthly newsletters and join on us on our Facebook and Linkedin groups pages.

We look forward to seeing you in 2011!
